DAVID SAUL

David is a Chartered Accountant, an awarded auditor, Secretary of the Catchers Trust (50% Shareholder of the SFM) and member of the Sydney Fish Market Leadership Committee. David’s family have been involved in commercial fishing since 1957. His father was Chairman of Evans Head Fishermen’s Co-operative Ltd and the NSW Fish Marketing Authority during the 1980s. David has been actively involved in the fishing industry for over 25 years and has been operating successful commercial prawning operation for past two years.

STEVE EVERSON

Director & Shore Manager

Steve is a fifth generation commercial fisherman from the Clarence River, previous Chairman of the Clarence River Fishermen’s Co-operative Ltd and current member of the Commercial Fisheries NSW Advisory Council (which provides advice to assist the Fisheries Minister and DPI develop sound policies to manage fisheries resources and ecosystems of NSW). In addition to strategic insight, Steve is an all-round hands-on expert in all practical matters to do with commercial fishing, including maintenance of equipment.

DONALD ANDERSEN

Vessel Skipper

Donald Andersen (Duck) has decades of experience as a prawn fisherman in the area. We are proud to deploy his extensive local fishing knowledge and excellent safety record. Duck is also an enthusiastic mentor to new industry entrants.

DECK HANDS

Vessel Crew

Our crew of deckhands are committed to our vision of sustainable commercial fishing. All Yamba Wild crew receive relevant training and are competent in their respective roles. Our crew work directly under careful supervision of the skipper.
